Should match fuller flavoured free range poultry, beef or even pork and mature cheeses such as Gruyere or farmhouse cheddar.
Deep purple colour with concentrated plum and spice from the Merlot fruit, and minerality typical of this region. Powerful but smooth palate with the Cabernet Sauvignon adding firm tannins and fine structure to the finish.
The ripeness is evident in the wine, which has good colour, a classic plummy nose and ripe, supple fruit on the palate.
Classic leafy character on the nose yet ripe, supple fruit on the palate with an excellent long finish.
