Dandelion Lions Tooth McLaren Vale Shiraz Riesling 2008

TASTING NOTES

An intriguing nose of rose petals and summer pudding of lifted red fruits, berries and lime marmalade from the co-fermentation with the Riesling. On the palate, the wine is opulent and intense with red berries balanced by soft velvety tannis and supple oak.

Low in alcohol, high in natural acidity and done dry, this wine is fresh and bright with intense smells of lime skin, citrus blossom, green apple, ripe guava and cinnamon spice. On the palate, there is crisp lime sorbet, stone fruit including apricot and classic mandarin, developing into rich lemon meringue. Wonderful racy minerality.

An intense, deep purple with bright edges. Scented blueberries and hints of blackcurrants over fruitcake like ripe redolent red fruits and spicy cedar, blackberries and cream. The palate is rich, deep & full flavoured, with blueberry, plums and red berry flavours. Cedar spice and classic Cabernet tannins are softened by smooth mouth-filling fruit before a really extended finish.
