Wehlener Sonnenuhr is a precipitously steep and rocky vineyard which yields some of the most elegant and sophisticated white wines in the world. It has very thin soil and the purest blue slate of any Mosel vineyard. This gives a lively minerality to the wine, along with a delicate and crisp acidity that perfectly balances the bright white peach and lemon fruit. Its an aristocratic and charming wine that dances gracefully on the palate.
Excellent as an aperitif.
This Riesling is light yellow in colour. The nose is fresh and lively with white stone fruit, spice and pear. The palate is intense, with a long mineral streak, peach and pear fruit and firm, refreshing acidity that is benchmark riesling from this area.
A wine with ripe peach and honeysuckle notes on the nose, and a comlex palate with mineral notes, and balancing acidity. True to the Markus Molitor style this rich, ripe wine also has great length.
Aromas reminiscent of ripe apple , tangerine , lime, white pepper, nutmeg, mace and flint stone. Light, vibrant, fresh and juicy with refreshing acidity and a complex, mineral and lasting finish.
