This wine has all the characteristics of really good Montepulciano – incredibly deep coloured with perfumes of chocolatey and coffee on the nose. Warm, rich and spicy wine on the palate, it has great balance between robust chunky fruit and soft tannins and is similar in style to a good Australian shiraz.
Excellent with big, chunky meat dishes.
Deep coloured, clean, fresh and plummy on the nose, rich, supple and accessible on the palate. No oak ageing gives the excellent fruit a chance to shine.
Bright ruby in colour with perfumes characteristic of top quality Corvina – bitter cherries and a twist of raspberry. On the palate it has bright, lively fruit with good intensity of ripe, summer berries offset by a hint of liquorice from the Syrah. Long and elegant on the finish.
A deep garnet hued Barbera with vibrant aromas of black cherries and prunes with chocolate and toasty oak undertones and a touch of mint. An abundance of vibrant red currants, black cherries and a touch of spice show through on the palate, which has a rich, voluptuous texture balancing taught acidity and fine oak tannins.
