Vibrant, deep crimson red-purple colour, with a fragrant, spicy nose, combining a range of red fruits and subtle oak characters. On the palate, the wine is an attractive blend of red and black fruits with a variety of spices. Ripe, fine tannins and good concentration provide structure, length and a seamless balance.
Perfect with full flavoured meat dishes especially roast beef.
Bold and seductive, this youthful, unoaked blend encapsulates all that is great in natural, pure, unseasoned wine. Its fragrance, intensity and energy are all reminiscent of freshly fermenting must, with ripe juicy flavours of blackberry, spiced cherries, minerals and Asian spices wrapped around a skeleton of fresh acidity and fine mineral laden tannins. Soft and sensuous, this wine is frightfully drinkable already, but as with its predecessors will greatly recompense those who choose to give it a few years in the cellar.
Deep purple, the nose is an intense combination of smoked herbs, liquorice and blackcurrants leading to a full bodied palate with notes of cassis and cracked pepper.
Deeply coloured. Spicy fragrant nose. Real depth and tightness. The wine was aged in predominantly French oak barriques of which 35% was new. This is a serious cellaring wine. Many Grenache based reds can be light hearted and fresh, and indeed this is a legitimate manifestation of one Grenache style, but our aim is to make classic dark wines with a mix of spice, liquorice and other complex flavours leavened by some sweeter talc like perfume that will evolve into a seductive long term style.
