Full-on tropical fruit (pineapple & dried apricot) aromas mixed with spice and honey, rich and full-bodied concentration, spicy but with 'sweet' fruit undertones and then followed by long acidity making it taste drier and more elegant.
Foie gras, Indian and Thai food (although not too much chilli!), smoked mackerel or full flavoured trout, salmon or sea bass dishes featuring soy sauce, ginger et al.
The Cave Tradition Pinot Gris has a lovely perfumed nose with fine floral aromas mixed with a tad of honey and spice; quite full and rich, lightly smoky and nutty with smooth dryish finish.
Spicy overtones with full and rich fruit on the palate. Excellent acidity balances everything out.
Aged in barrel this Pinot Noir is not as rich as a Burgundy but has wonderful aromatics and balance between tart cherry flavours and fine acidity, different but delicious.
