Attractive blackcurrant fruit with excellent varietal characteristics. Rich without being jammy, it offers great value for money.
Superb with ostrich steak but goes equally well with plain old beef steak.
A blockbuster of a red - a complex but juicy fruit palate and a long persistent finish. Full bodied with great concentration of blackcurrant, plums and figs. Supported with a spicy, vanilla and mocha backbone.
Excellent depth of colour, with fresh, youthful, almost floral perfumes, giving way to fresh, chunky fruit characters with flavours of red berries and liquorice. Soft, rounded tannins balance and add depth to the juicy fruit. Good length, with perfumes of chocolate and liquorice on the finish.
Good depth of colour, with attractive dark berry fruit on the nose. On the palate it is full-bodied whilst still retaining a youthful freshness. The Malbec adds licquorice and tobacco character to the forward, cassis style of the Cabernet.
