This website, www.rannochscott.co.uk is operated by Rannoch Scott Drinks Distributors Ltd (referred to as "we", "our" or "us"). These terms will apply to all your (referred to as "you", "your" or "the buyer") purchases of items either processed via our website or over the phone line. Please check the conditions below before you make any new purchase as they will be updated from time to time.

All contracts formed between us for the purchase of items from this website shall be governed by English law and any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept card payments.

We accept Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, MasterCard Debit, American Express, UK Maestro, Solo, Electron and Visa Delta. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may phone us on 01787 281944 and give card details over the phone, you can also pay by cheque but we will not be able to ship your order until the money has cleared in to our bank account.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling

All goods are packaged well in reinforced cardboard boxes,

Due to the nature of the product it will usually be obvious if the box contains broken bottle/s. The Couriers will not deliver boxes that contain breakages and will contact Rannoch Scott Wines and we will then contact the customer to inform them of the situation. The goods will be returned to us and we will then either re-send or cancel the order depending on the customer's wishes. If the customer is concerned about the state of the outer carton they must check the condition of the bottles inside as once signed for Rannoch Scott Wines cannot accept any responsibility.

Delivery outside the mainland of the UK will be subject to additional delivery costs in which case you will be contacted as soon as possible after purchase to arrange a surcharge payment or offered the right to cancel the order.

Delivery Schedule

We will endeavour to deliver goods within the times stated but goods are subject to availability and any delay in the delivery of goods is sometimes out of our control. Stated delivery times are approximate and we will contact you with a confirmed delivery date after purchase. If we have the goods in stock your order should be delivered within 3 working days.

Rannoch Scott Drinks Distributors Ltd shall assume responsibility for any breakages in transit or faulty goods and will offer a refund or re-delivery for the broken/faulty goods.

A contact telephone number must be provided on which we can reach you both the day before and the day of the delivery.

All deliveries require a signature, however you can stipulate in the checkout area if you are happy for the goods to be left with a neighbour or in a safe place. This, however, is done at your own risk and we will not accept any responsibility for goods that go missing.

Deliveries will made between 8am and 5pm, Monday - Friday. You will be informed when you can expect delivery of your goods soon after receipt of your order by email. Saturday deliveries can be arranged but with a surcharge of £20.

If the delivery is unsuccessful the couriers will leave a card containing a telephone number to call to arrange re-delivery. If nobody is in on the second attempt the the goods will be held at the delivery depot for a short period of time and the customer will be able to collect from the depot. If the goods are not collected they will be returned to Rannoch Scott Wines and the order will be refunded less the delivery charge.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have signed for the correct number of goods delivered. At time of delivery you must also check that you have received the correct goods in accordance with your order.

Deliveries to all postcodes starting: KW and IV will incur a £10 surcharge.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

All products shown on the website include VAT at 20%.

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Rannoch Scott Wines do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns Policy

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
