Malbec
Malbec is a deeply coloured red grape variety best known for producing rich, full-bodied wines with vibrant fruit character. Originally from southwest France, it found its true international home in Argentina, where Mendoza has become synonymous with expressive, high-quality Malbec.
Typically showing flavours of blackberry, plum and dark cherry, Malbec can also develop notes of violet, spice and cocoa, with supple tannins and refreshing acidity. It pairs particularly well with grilled and roasted meats, making it a natural companion to Argentine cuisine.
