Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world’s most renowned red grape varieties, celebrated for its depth, structure and excellent ageing potential. Originating in Bordeaux, France, it is now cultivated in virtually every major wine region, with Bordeaux, Napa Valley and Australia particularly well known for their Cabernet.
Typically full-bodied and richly flavoured, it displays notes of blackcurrant, blackberry and plum, often complemented by hints of cedar, tobacco, spice and dark chocolate. Its firm tannins and balanced acidity make it an excellent partner for red meats, hearty dishes and mature cheeses.
