Peter Lehmann Hill & Valley Cabernet Sauvignon - 6 x 750ml Bottles Description

A distinguished Cabernet Sauvignon from South Australia's renowned vineyards, this wine showcases the rich, structured character that defines the region's finest expressions.

On the nose, expect classic cassis and dark plum aromatics layered with subtle eucalyptus and graphite minerality. The palate reveals ripe blackberry and cherry fruit with firm, well-integrated tannins that provide excellent grip and structure. Notes of dark chocolate and spiced oak complement the primary fruit, whilst a hint of leather and tobacco leaf adds complexity and sophistication.

This is a wine built for the cellar. The robust tannin framework and balanced acidity provide the foundation for graceful aging, with the potential to develop beautifully over 10-15 years. Early cellaring will allow the wine to shed its youthful intensity and evolve into a more refined, tertiary expression, where secondary flavours of truffle, leather, and aged oak emerge alongside softer, more integrated fruit.

Best enjoyed from 2028 onwards, though approachable now if decanted. The bottle format ensures optimal maturation conditions for extended aging potential.

This wine is a superb accompaniment to beef, rich game dishes or a good cheddar cheese.
