Torbreck The Steading 2022 Description
On the nose, this wine reveals a captivating array of lifted red and blue fruits—mulberry, red plum, redcurrant, and red cherry - layered with exotic spice notes of sandalwood, cinnamon bark, and star anise that add considerable complexity.
The palate showcases impressive depth and structure, with denser, plusher red fruit flavours that coat the mouth with a silky, elegant mouthfeel. The wine carries notable weight and body, with flavours that glide smoothly across the palate, demonstrating a more robust character than previous releases.
Visually, the wine displays a deep crimson hue with a dark plum core, signalling the concentration within the glass.
This is a wine of excellent balance - approachable and enjoyable now in its youth, yet structured sufficiently to reward patient cellaring for up to 10 years, allowing further complexity to develop.
Enjoy with lamb in any cuisine or an aubergine curry.
