Torbreck Woodcutter's Semillon 2020 Description

A beautifully crafted white wine showcasing the classic elegance of this traditional variety. On the nose, expect vibrant citrus aromatics—fresh lemon and lime juice with subtle kaffir lime leaf notes that add complexity and intrigue.

The palate reveals a tangy, refreshing character with bright acidity and a medium body that carries through to a clean, cleansing finish. Young, this wine delivers crisp citrus charm and immediate drinkability.

However, this is a wine built for the cellar. With patience, it transforms remarkably over time. From five to ten years of age, brioche and lemon curd pastry notes emerge, developing rich lemon butter complexities that reward careful cellaring. The fine acids provide the backbone needed for extended ageing, allowing layers of flavour to unfold gracefully.

At its peak between five and ten years, this wine reveals a sophisticated depth and richness that far exceeds its youthful expression. Capable of ageing up to a decade, it represents excellent value for those willing to invest time in bottle maturation.

Perfect with rich pork dishes.
