Vetus Toro 2016 Description
Deep garnet hue with a luminous rim. The nose reveals layers of dark cherry, plum, and blackberry, complemented by whispers of cinnamon, clove, and toasted oak. A hint of leather and dried herbs emerges with aeration.
On the palate, this wine displays impressive structure and elegance. Ripe, velvety tannins provide a firm backbone without overwhelming the fruit. The mid-palate is generous with concentrated dark fruit flavours, while bright acidity cuts through beautifully, creating excellent balance and length. Notes of vanilla and subtle spice linger on the finish.
A wine of considerable depth and complexity, showing excellent aging potential.
Best enjoyed with hearty meat dishes or allowed to develop further in the cellar.
