Waterkloof Seriously Cool Chenin Blanc 2025 Description
A bright, vibrant style of Chenin with aromas of citrus, white flowers and a hint of honey. Ripe and full flavoured with a rounded mouthfeel thanks to long fermentation and extended lees contact. Nice concentration of stone fruit characters with hints of dried apricot and mango. Good balancing acidity on the clean, fresh finish.
This wine demonstrates excellent ageing potential, with the natural acidity and mineral structure providing a solid foundation for development over the coming years. The complexity of stone fruit and floral notes will evolve and deepen with time in bottle, while the balanced acidity ensures freshness is maintained.
Cellaring for 3-5 years will allow the wine to gain additional layers of complexity and refinement, transforming the vibrant fruit character into something more nuanced and sophisticated.
