Aconcagua Valley

The Aconcagua Valley is one of Chile’s historic wine regions, located north of Santiago and stretching from the Andes towards the Pacific Ocean. Its dry Mediterranean climate, abundant sunshine, low rainfall and cooling influences from both the mountains and the Pacific create favourable conditions for producing ripe, concentrated grapes while retaining freshness and balance.

The valley is particularly renowned for Cabernet Sauvignon, while Carménère, Syrah, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc are also important. The warmer inland areas are well suited to structured reds, while the cooler coastal sector produces fresher, more elegant wines.
