Alsace

Alsace is one of France’s most distinctive wine regions, located along the country’s eastern border with Germany. Sheltered by the Vosges Mountains, the region enjoys a relatively dry, sunny climate and a remarkable diversity of soils, creating ideal conditions for aromatic, fresh and expressive wines.

Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Muscat are among Alsace’s signature varieties, with Pinot Noir increasingly important for red and rosé wines. The region is particularly known for its dry, intensely aromatic whites, as well as late-harvest and sweet wines such as Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles. Alsace combines strong French and Germanic influences with a growing commitment to organic and biodynamic viticulture, reinforcing its reputation for distinctive, terroir-driven wines.
