Beaujolais

Beaujolais is a distinctive French wine region located south of Burgundy, renowned for vibrant, fruit-driven wines and the Gamay grape. Its rolling hills, granite-rich soils and relatively continental climate provide ideal conditions for producing fresh, expressive wines with excellent regional character.

Gamay dominates production, creating styles ranging from the youthful, aromatic wines of Beaujolais Nouveau to the more structured and complex Crus of Beaujolais, including Morgon, Fleurie, Moulin-à-Vent and Morgon. The region has undergone a quality-focused transformation in recent decades, with many producers embracing lower yields, sustainable farming and more traditional approaches to winemaking. Beaujolais is increasingly recognised for wines that combine freshness, elegance and depth.
