Loire Valley
The Loire Valley is one of France’s most diverse and distinctive wine regions, stretching along the Loire River from the Atlantic coast deep into central France. Its varied climates, soils and vineyard landscapes support an exceptional range of wine styles, from crisp whites and elegant reds to rosé, sparkling and sweet wines.
Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc are among the region’s defining varieties, with Melon de Bourgogne also central to the wines of Muscadet. Notable appellations include Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé, Vouvray, Savennières, Chinon and Muscadet. Loire producers combine a strong tradition of terroir-driven winemaking with growing interest in organic and biodynamic farming, helping to maintain the region’s reputation for freshness, elegance and individuality.
