Mallorca

Mallorca is a distinctive Mediterranean wine region whose vineyards reflect the island’s warm climate, limestone-rich soils and maritime influences. While relatively small in scale, the island has developed a strong reputation for characterful wines that combine traditional local varieties with modern winemaking.

Native grapes such as Manto Negro and Callet are central to Mallorca’s red wines, while Prensal Blanc is an important white variety. The principal wine appellations, Binissalem and Pla i Llevant, produce a diverse range of styles, from fresh whites and rosés to structured, aromatic reds. A renewed focus on indigenous varieties, sustainable viticulture and quality-driven production is helping Mallorca gain increasing recognition as an individual and distinctive Spanish wine region.
