Giffords Hall Classic Cuvee 2016 Description
This sparkling wine is made using the traditional Champagne method with Pinot Noir (burgundy clone) and Pinot Blanc the classic champagne grapes.
The base wines are barrel fermented in French Limousin oak, developing complexity and depth. While not a French Champagne, this English sparkling wine delivers the hallmarks of the style: robust acidity and minerality paired with distinctive fruit flavours and a delicate floral character. Notes of brioche and biscuit emerge on the dry finish, revealing layers of complexity with each sip.
Giffords Hall Classic Cuvée showcases the quality and character of English sparkling wine production. A refined alternative to traditional Champagne, with personality all its own.
Excellent as an aperitif or perfect with quails eggs.
