Ontañón Rioja Blanco 2023 Description
Opulent aromas of pear and jasmine, with tropical notes and well-integrated but obvious oak.
The palate is poised with vanilla oak characters, but left fresh by balancing acidity. Flavours of pineapple, crisp lemon, and brioche notes on the finish.
This wine demonstrates excellent ageing potential. The structured acidity and oak integration provide a solid foundation for development in bottle, allowing the wine to evolve gracefully over the coming years.
Early drinking reveals its vibrant fruit character, whilst cellaring will enable the aromatics to deepen and the oak to soften further, creating additional complexity and refinement.
Lobster or langoustines with cream-based pasta sauce, or roast chicken dishes.
