Tabalí Talinay Pinot Noir 2020 Description
Pretty crimson in colour. Crushed red cherry fruit and limestone minerality makes the aroma hugely alluring. The palate shows typical characteristics of the Talinay vineyard. Salinity, stony minerality and refreshing acidity. It's also shows plenty of black and Italian-esque sour cherry fruit characters and a long, captivating finish.
This wine demonstrates excellent ageing potential. The vibrant acidity and mineral structure provide a solid foundation for development over the next 5–8 years. With time in bottle, the bright red fruit will evolve into deeper, more complex secondary flavours, whilst the crisp minerality will soften and integrate beautifully.
The wine's natural balance between fruit, acid and tannin suggests it will gain elegance and nuance as it matures, rewarding patient collectors with a more layered, sophisticated expression.
A definite foody wine - try with a rich stir fry or roast duck.
